Randy Douthit is a director and producer that has worked on shows including Judge Judy, Larry King Live, Hot Bench, Crossfire, Washington Dialogue, “What Is This Generation?”, Judge Joe Brown, and more.
He has won awards during his career, including a nomination for an Ace Award for Larry King Live in 1989 as a producer along with other producers. He was also nominated for the same award in 1982 for Crossfire. He also won an Ace award for Larry King along with Tamara Haddad/
Randy Douthit was nominated for an Ace several times throughout the 80s. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Judge Judy several times between 1999 and 2020, which he shared with the rest of the crew and cast. The Judge Judy program won the award in 2013.
He won a Peabody award as a producer in Washington in 1991.

Randy Douthit was born in 1949, in Oregon. He attended Stanford University in 1968 and graduated with a B.A. In psychology, he received his Master of Science in Psychology in 1973 from Portland State University. He’s worked for King Broadcasting, Cable News Network, Warner Brothers, Quincy Jones Enterprises, Home Box Office, New World Entertainment, and more throughout the years of his long and varied career.
His association with the Judge Judy brand appears very much like it will continue into the future with her new show that is coming out just this year.
