In 1966, a modest neighborhood drugstore in Pembroke, North Carolina, was the birthplace of the very first HealthKeeperz location. Since that time, various programs that bring medical attention to patients in their homes or other locations around the community in southern North Carolina have been established and have experienced significant growth. Because HealthKeeperz takes a comprehensive approach to providing home and community-based services, many individuals are now able to manage their health without ever having to venture outside of the confines of their own homes.
More than half a century ago, HealthKeeperz began assisting residents of North Carolina with their diverse array of medical requirements. Howard Brooks, a pharmacist, established Pembroke Drug Center in the neighborhood in the 1960s. Today, the business is known as Pembroke Drug Center. The Pembroke Drug Center provided its services to the people living in Pembroke as well as those living in the areas immediately around Pembroke.
Throughout the years that followed, Howard Brooks and his team of executives were responsible for developing HealthKeeperz into a genuine integrated health system. This system provides patients of the organization with a higher quality of life, the respect they deserve, and the clinical competence they require by supplying a large assortment of home-based health services, equipment, and goods.
