Isidoro Quiroga is a Chilean business mogul famous for handling business transactions. He is the founder of Asesorias e Inversiones Benjamin a Chilean company that recently sold Enphase Energy company. Isidoro’s company registered a profit of more than $753 million from the deal’s total cost of $819 million.
Enphase is a leading energy company with its roots in California that narrows in manufacturing home energy solutions through three main methods: solar energy, web, or domestic energy storage. Mr. Quiroga bought the company in 2018 for a book value of $20 million. Using his entrepreneurial knowledge, he invested more than $84 million to give him more than ten times profit upon the sale.
In 2017, Isidoro Quiroga rose to the limelight again when he sold his Australis Seafoods firm. The company was bought by a Chinese salmon company Joyvio, the parent company of Lenovo. Though the sale did not get into books for being the largest in the markets, it surpassed sales made by competitors like Aquachile, which purchased Agrosuper at the market value of USD 850 million.
Isidoro purchased Australis Seafoods in 2003 when it was still a small company. As a visionary leader, he transformed it from its core activity and became a world-leading salmon exporter. With the onset of the Salmon Anemia virus outbreak in 2018, many salmon companies were significantly affected to almost bankrupt, and Salmon Seafoods was no different.
However, together with his support team, Mr. Isidoro proved his entrepreneurial masculinity by creating a suitable production model that would later contain the situation. By the end of 2018, the company was back on track, making more than $79650 and registering +26.43% in sales.
Different from other business tycoons, Isidoro Quiroga does not shy from investing abroad. He is the owner of a Junior Investment Company located in Australia that specializes in the mining industry. He is also the owner of olive plantations and a wine manufacturing company in Argentina.
His other notable business deals include investment in the Chilean stock market, stock investment infamous companies like Entel, SQM, Endesa, Telefonica, and Pilmaiquen. He has also invested heavily in the real estate sector with companies like Valle Escondido.
Mr. Quiroga’s success can be traced to his solid educational background. He attended the University of Chile for a degree in Commercial Engineering and graduated in 1974. Immediately after school, he began his entrepreneurial journey as an exporter of Oregano in his region. Today, his businesses continue to thrive and operate through his family name Benjamin Inversiones.
