Blockchain recently announced that they were pleased to have Macrina Kgil as their new Chief Financial Officer. Macrina Kgli has, over the years, shown great expertise in building growth. Blockchain will also be leveraging her knowledge in streamlining public companies’ finance functions to ensure that they excel in serving millions of institutional and retail clients.
According to Blockchain Chief Executive Officer Peter Smith, Macrina has played a fundamental role in restructuring liability. Smith even notes that Macrina Kgil has in the past been instrumental in acquiring and disposing of assets and taking companies public. Peter believes that as their business expands, he is hopeful that she’s the right professional to help them establish the firm’s risk and finance operation. Smith still acknowledges that Macrina Kgil is a proven financial leader whose experience will guarantee creating an industry-leading risk and finance department at Blockchain. Before taking up her new position at Blockchain, Macrina was Springleaf Holding (OneMain Holdings) CFO when it went public.
Macrina Kgil began her career at PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PwC) as a capital market transaction advisor and auditor. At the firm, Macrina offered advice to Fortress, the first alternative investment group to go public. Macrina notes that she is excited to be part of Blockchain’s team at a time when they’re looking to scale their operations. She notes that since the firm’s inception, it has been at the center of innovation. Kgil is also looking forward to employing his expertise in accelerating the company’s mission to help establish a bright future for billions of people globally.
